1. Transportation and handling

  • During transportation, avoid any impact to the valve body and sensitive parts.
  • To lift the valve, only use the molds or clamps built into the body.
  • If the valve is placed on a pallet, use a suitable forklift to move it.
  • To install heavy valves, be sure to use a crane with the appropriate capacity.

2. Maintenance conditions before installation

  • For long-term storage, milk should be kept at a moderate temperature (around 10 to 15 degrees Celsius) and away from sunlight.
  • Important note: During storage, the valve should be in the half-open position.
  • Ensure that the valve is completely closed and the internal parts are properly positioned (except in the case of long-term storage as mentioned).
  • The sealing rubber and seating surfaces must be clean and free of dust.

3. Important points in installation

  • The valve must be installed in the direction indicated by the arrow on the body.
  • Warning: Avoid burying the valve in the ground, especially in lines that deal with corrosive fluids.
  • Outdoors, the use of a canopy or canopy is essential for protection against environmental conditions.
  • Note (according to company instructions): Valves manufactured by this company open in a clockwise direction and close in a counterclockwise direction.
  • The use of a guard or protective frame is recommended to reduce potential risks.

4. Launch and Operation

  • The valve's performance should be checked at least once a month to ensure it opens and closes properly.
  • If used continuously, open the gearbox door every 6 months and inspect the internal components (gears and screws).
  • The bolts and nuts related to the seal, which are set at the factory, should not be tampered with.
  • Before operation, make sure that no hard objects are left in the flow path.
  • Serious warning: Never use a butterfly valve to test pipeline pressure.

5. Performance and support requirements

  • The valve should only be used within the temperature and pressure ranges indicated on the nameplate.
  • For use at high temperatures or with special fluids, prior coordination with the company is required.
  • In the event of a problem, the complete specifications of the valve along with a description of the problem should be reported to the factory so that the necessary guidance can be provided.
