  • Advantages of air valves: In this type of valve, the aeration and evacuation process is performed automatically in the lines. This type of valve is used for air trapped in the pipes, which is created by factors such as starting the lines or using the pump.

Installation tips:
  • To prevent freezing, the air valve should be installed inside the pond or enclosed environment.
  • The air valve must be installed completely vertically and level. Failure to do so will cause the float ball to get stuck and the valve to malfunction.
  • A slide valve (on/off valve) should be installed in the flow path and below the air valve to allow for the fluid to be cut off in case of emergency.
  • Before installing the air valve, thoroughly clean the inside of the pipes.
  • Be sure to use a flat rubber gasket to seal between the air valve and the pipe flange.
  • The screws connecting the air valve to the pipe flange must be tightened evenly and in a crisscross pattern (one every other).

Tips after installation and operation

  • Slowly open the slide valve installed below the air valve so that the air valve gradually fills.
  • After the air valve is filled and the pressure reaches the operating value (usually after the air flow is stopped), the valve should be completely sealed and no air should escape.
  • To prevent the slide valve under the air valve from closing unnecessarily, it is recommended to remove its handle.


    (The handle can be reinstalled if an emergency shutdown is needed)
  • By observing the above, the air valve will be ready for operation.
  • The performance and sealing condition of the air valve should be inspected and controlled at least every six months.

Air valve storage in warehouse

  • The air valve should be kept in its original packaging until installation.
  • The storage location should be dry, away from direct sunlight, and free from dust.
  • If milk has been in storage for more than 2 years, it should be retested and controlled before use.
