Expansion Joints

These joints have a longitudinal movement of ±100 mm and are used in surface pipelines and in cases where there is longitudinal movement of the line to prevent damage to pipeline components and equipment due to forces resulting from pipeline expansion and contraction.

Description

  • Application: Expandable joints manufactured by Abersan Tolo Baharroud Company are sliding type with sliding surfaces made of stainless steel. These joints have a longitudinal movement of ±100 mm and are used in surface pipelines and cases where there is longitudinal movement of the line to prevent damage to pipeline parts and equipment due to the force caused by the expansion and contraction of the pipeline. Due to their special design, these parts, unlike accordion and rubber types, are capable of withstanding high pressures. Another application of these joints is to protect the pipeline in places where the force caused by an earthquake may damage the equipment. (such as places of entry to pumping stations, water tanks, tanks, etc.) In this case, the use of these parts is not limited to surface pipelines only and they are used in pipes installed underground.

  • Paint coating: Coating with epoxy polyamide paint and epoxy powder paint with an electrostatic spraying mechanism with a thickness of 250 microns can be applied according to the customer’s order and in accordance with DIN 30667 standard.
