    • This type of valve can be used in all water supply facilities. If the return pressure exceeds the supply pressure, the flow is completely cut off by closing the butterfly valve. By moving the weights on the lever, the closing speed of the impellers can be adjusted. All O-rings of this valve are easily replaceable. The O-rings are made of EPDM or NBR and if ordered for other fluids and higher temperatures, the appropriate O-ring will be used.

1- Prerequisites before installation

  • Before installation, ensure that the inside of the pipe is free of any contamination or foreign objects.
  • The direction of fluid flow must be aligned with the mark (arrow) on the valve body.
  • There must be sufficient space around the installation site for possible future inspection or repair operations.
  • If the valve is installed outdoors, necessary measures must be taken to prevent freezing.
  • In vertical pipelines, it is necessary to adjust the valve lever so that it functions properly.
  • The valve can be used in both horizontal and vertical positions, but the direction and position of the lever and weight must be properly adjusted according to the installation position.

2- Important points during mechanical installation

  • The distance between the two pipe flanges must be large enough to allow for proper placement of the valve and sealing gaskets.
  • The pipe flanges must be aligned and parallel to each other to prevent additional stresses on the valve body.
  • To prevent damage to the paint or protective coating, it is recommended to use flat washers under the bolts and nuts.
  • Tightening the screws should be done crosswise and evenly to prevent possible leaks.
  • Avoid installing the valve immediately before or after angled fittings such as elbows or tees, as these positions may cause the valve disc to jam or malfunction.

3- Operating tips after installation

  • The working pressure and operating temperature of the system must comply with the technical specifications of the valve.
  • Before starting the system, check the smooth operation of the lever and weight and ensure that the path is completely free.
  • The weight should be moved slowly and without sudden releases.
  • By adjusting the position of the weight on the lever, you can control the time or speed at which the valve closes.
  • In horizontal and vertical lines, the direction of fluid flow (from above or below) must be observed according to the design guidelines.

4- Pre-installation maintenance conditions

  • Until installation, it is best to keep the valve in its original factory packaging to prevent possible damage.
  • The storage environment should be dry, dust-free, and away from direct sunlight.
